VitaMac is built to be private. It has no servers, no accounts, and no analytics. The short version: VitaMac does not collect, transmit, or sell any of your data.
Nothing. VitaMac has no backend and we never receive any information about you, your devices, or how you use the app.
VitaMac (the iPhone/iPad app) communicates directly with the VitaMac Agent on your Mac over your own local network. That connection is end‑to‑end encrypted and is established by you scanning a pairing QR code. Your Mac's stats and process list stay on your local network — they are never sent to us or any third party, and the app does not use the internet for its core function.
The app uses the camera only to scan the pairing QR code shown by the Mac agent. Frames are processed on your device to read the code and are never stored or transmitted.
The app uses Apple's Local Network and Bonjour APIs to discover your Mac on the same Wi‑Fi network. This is used solely to find and connect to your own Mac.
Any settings VitaMac stores (such as your last paired Mac and pinned processes) live only on your device. Deleting the app removes them.
VitaMac is a utility for managing your own computer and is not directed at children. It collects no data from anyone.
If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be posted on this page.
